"Growing evidence links heart attacks with short-term exposures to vehicle exhaust from nearby streets. Now some of the first evidence that long-term exposures also are a culprit has been published by a team of Massachusetts researchers "
Researchers evaluated over 5000 people who suffered from heart attack in Massachusetts from 1995-2003. They found a strong correlation between heart attack risk and traffic exposure. I expect we will see more research on environmental pollutants and cardiovascular disease in the near future. Clean energy anyone?????
