A new study just out in the Journal of the American Medical Association demonstrated the following, mothers-to-be taking SSRI antidepressants (Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, etc) during the second and/or third trimester of pregnancy increased the risk of their child having an autism spectrum related disorder (ASD) by 217%. Mothers taking antidepressants in general (not just SSRI's), increased the risk of ASD's by 87%. Please share this with your friends. Here's a link to the study.
