A new study published in Functional Neurology found significant improvements in childhood epilepsy with zinc supplementation. Children between ages 3-12 were either given 1mg/kg/day of zinc or a placebo for 6 months. At 6 months researchers found that 31% of the children treated with zinc had significant reductions in seizure frequency.
